SprayMax 1K Corrosion protection primer

Description

Application:

Substrates:

• bare sheet metal, sanded
• Cured paintwork, sanded
• Spare parts primer, sanded
• Polyester substrates, sanded
• Aluminium, sanded
• Galvanised sheet metal in 3-layer construction, GRP

Pre-treatment:

• Completely remove rust from the damaged area, sand the surface thoroughly and clean with SprayMax silicone remover.
• The damaged area must be free of grease and dust and dry.
• Shake the can thoroughly for 2 minutes. Test spray.

Spray application:

• Welding primer: 1 = 6–10μm
• Primer: 1–2 = 15–30μm
• Primer filler: 2–3 = 30–50μm

Drying times:

• Primer and welding primer: 10–15 min. / 20°C
• Primer filler: 15–60 min. / 20°C, depending on layer thickness
• IR drying possible (7 min. short-wave IR radiation)

Further processing:

• Can be painted over with all commercially available fillers and top coats.
• Do not recoat with polyester and EP products.
• Do not overcoat with water-based paints
• Wet sand with P800 or dry sand with P400 – 500
• SprayMax 1K CORROSION PROTECTION PRIMER has an open storage stability of 3 months on steel, whereby the dry film thickness should not be less than 50μm.

Coverage:

• approx. 0.5 m² – 1 m² / spray can, depending on coating thickness and substrate

Notes:

• For professional use only
• Personal protective equipment must be worn (respiratory mask type: A2/P2 protective gloves, e.g. made of latex or nitrile)
• After finishing the painting process, turn the can upside down and spray the valve until empty.
• Dispose of empty spray cans as recyclable waste.
