SprayMax 2K Epoxy primer filler

Application:

• Spot repair and part painting

Substrates:

• bare sheet steel
• Galvanised sheet steel
• Aluminium, anodised aluminium
• UP filler
• Old paintwork
• GRP materials
• 2K epoxy primer filler DO NOT apply to acid primers

Pre-treatment:

• If necessary, remove any rust beforehand Sand the substrate and clean with SprayMax silicone remover

Activating 2K:

• Shake the can thoroughly for 2 minutes before triggering
• Remove the red push button from the cap
• Turn the can 180° and place the push button on the pin in the bottom of the can
• Place the can upside down with the cap on a firm surface
• Press the red trigger button with the heel of your hand until it stops
• After triggering, shake the can thoroughly again for 2 minutes

Spraying application:

• 2 coats = approx. 70μm
• Intermediate airing: approx. 10-15 minutes
• Final airing: approx. 30 minutes before oven or IR drying
• Dust dry: 15 minutes at 20°C
• Touch dry: 5 hours at 20°C

Drying times:

• Sandable: 12 hours at 20°C or 30 minutes at 60°C object temperature
• Sandable after 1 hour of IR drying
• Dry sanding P400-P500
• Wet sanding with P800
• after 20-30 minutes / 20°C (as soon as matt finish is achieved)

Processing time:

• Approx. 4 days at 20°C room temperature
• The processing time depends on the ambient temperature
• Higher temperatures result in a shorter pot life, lower temperatures in a longer pot life.

Further processing:

• Can be painted over with all commercially available 1K and 2K paints
• If the 2K epoxy primer filler is painted over after 24 hours, it must be sanded beforehand
• 2K UP products Before reworking with 2K filler and spray filler, a drying time of 24 hours at room temperature or 30 minutes at 60°C must be observed
• Wet-on-wet processing
• Can be overcoated with standard topcoats or base coats after 25 to 30 minutes drying time at room temperature

Gloss level:

• matt

Coverage:

• Approx. 0.5 m² – 1 m² / spray can, depending on layer thickness and substrate

• After finishing the painting process, turn the can upside down and spray until the valve is empty.
• Dispose of empty spray cans as recyclable waste.
